Formulation and Evaluation of Enteric Coated Matrix Tablets of Mesalamine for Inflammatory Bowel Disease
نویسندگان
چکیده
Mesalamine is a gold standard anti-inflammatory drug used to treat inflammatory bowel illnesses. It's usually and keep Ulcerative Colitis in remission mild moderate cases. rapidly cleared from circulation after being consumed orally, with an elimination half-life of only one hour. Oral intake delayed or slow released matrix formulations can acquire therapeutic concentration the intestines. The goal this study was use guar gum as carrier develop colon-specific delivery methods for mesalamine. tablets were made using direct compression process, which today regarded cost-effective straightforward manufacturing method. Dip coating coat varied concentrations Eudragit L100 polymer. Tablets studied vitro variety dissolution solutions, including 0.1 N HCl (pH 1.2), phosphate buffers pH 6.8 7.4, others. optimized formulation subjected swelling tests. All formulations' physicochemical parameters confirmed be line pharmacopoeial norms. stability tests accordance ICH recommendations. coated (20 percent w/v) had sustained release 78.39 over 12 hours, while uncoated medication 9 hours. Tablet revealed that under accelerated room temperature storage settings 6 months, there reduced degradation. In colon, enteric-coated mesalamine demonstrated promising site-specific delivery.

متن کاملFormulation and Evaluation of Sustained Release Matrix Tablets of Glipizide
The purpose of this study was to develop a new monolithic matrix tablet to completely deliver glipizide in a zero order manner over a sustained period. Two approaches were examined using drug in a formulation that contain polymer like hydroxylpropyl methyl-cellulose K 100 (HPMCK) and Eudragit L 100. The granules were prepared by wet granulation method and thereby formulated as F-1, F-2. F...
